Using Technology to Understand a Building.

Energy modeling utilizes computer models, that analyze the building’s energy consumption, utility bills, and life cycle costs of various energy related items such as HVAC, lighting systems, and building envelope.  It serves as a critical tool for distinguishing the requirements of energy design and development.  Energy modeling can be used to test the effects of location, building orientation, building massing, and green energy solutions among others.

Energy Modeling can also earn a building owner LEED credits!  Using an energy model to prove that your building is more efficient than a code-minimum building can be a cost effective way to earn up to 18 points.
