The Athletic and Fitness Center was awarded LEED® Silver by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Athletic and Fitness Center consists of a field house that includes indoor track facilities and tennis courts and natatorium including an Olympic-sized pool. This project featured geothermal wells for heating and cooling of the natatorium, carbon dioxide sensors to correlate ventilation rates with occupancy load, and heat recovery from exhaust air. Rainwater from the roof of the indoor track is collected in a 35,000 gallon underground cistern and supplies irrigation for the football field and flushing of toilets.
